 Installing Siebel 7.7 on a stand alone machine with DB2

is any one trying to do that ? i have heard that it's a big hasle. i will be trying to do that shortly in the next couple of days or next week. can any one tell me about the basic steps and permissions or user groups i need to set up ? i am working on Windows XP Professional. Kaushal

Well, exactly. We have done it on WIN2003 servers . One for sibel 7.7 one for DB2 V81.6 Workgroup Edition. There is a IBM redbook on the subject. Sorry I do not remember the book number. One hazel we had was misc DB space/size parameter related. IBM recomend in general lager "numbers" than Siebel, but that's not enough. eg. Siebel really digest a lot of table space. Secondly. Siebel 7.7. move from development to test DB GUI has a bug. A DB2 CLI trace reviels this. There is no fix yet (we found it a couple of weeks ago). Work around : Do the move manually using the command. Sielbel support have info on how.
