Installing McAffee = Crashed laptop

I was installing mcaffee virus shield from a network drive on a laptop for one of my co-workers and about 3/4 way through the installation an error came up that stated it needed Frame Package and then I got a fatal system error with “error in services system will shut down in (countdown)” and when it rebooted nothing came up besides the desktop background, I had an hourglass and the fatal error again. I ended up fixing it by uninstalling the software, but it is our standard protocol to require that software on every machine. Any ideas on how to install mcaffee without getting this error? Original Disc? I haven't really tried anything yet...

Copy the install files locally and try again, you can delete them once your done.
