os400 rev4v5 Can you clarify that? Does that mean you're running against OS/400 V4R5, or is it i5/OS V5R4? Tom

We are actually using OS/400 software Rel 4.5 (R4V5) A friend sent us a client access service package and we managed to install it after clearing registry issues (which you previously commented on. On 5-9-12 I had issue where user could only get one sign on. The client access would "try to connect" ie-gave us a black screen with message at bottom "connecting" but it didn't actually connect. I used command wrkcfgsts *dev to look at how many qpadev XXXXX sessions were at varied off status, thinking that could stop her from connecting. I am set up for a max of 75; and some were varied off, but not enough to stop her from getting a valid connection. In the proces of this I noticed that her userid along with the userid of the previous user of this new pc with windows 7 were shown under "dev" and both were varied off. I varied on the device with her userid; then had her do a soft reboot and she was able to connect. Just verified with her today that she is having no issues with connecting and she says, "NO."
