Hi all, This is a short question but please help me! I use Linux and I need to insert ALT codes into my document. How can I do that? Thank you so much!

To achieve the same function it is slightly different in Ubuntu, you must type Ctrl + Shift + U + character in Unicode hexadecimal value.


example 
  • On Ubuntu, type it as Ctrl + Shift + U then 00A0

    Assuming here ALT codes mean, special characters/ascii values. For this issue, you can try gnome Character Map, which can be easily used with documents. Please look at here for more help: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/CharacterMap
