am using a trigger to sync a remote table every time there is an update or insert on the local table. The columns are user-type object. The tirgger can not insert or update on the remote table. I get the following error: CUSTOMERS Table : ORA-22804: remote operations not permitted on object tables or user-defined type columns. Can someone show me how to get the trigger to work inserting to a remote table the same data in the local table. remember the column are user define type. CREATE OR REPLACE TRIGGER CUSTOMERS_TRIGGER4 AFTER INSERT OR UPDATE ON CUSTOMERS_TEST3 FOR EACH ROW DECLARE v_error_msg VARCHAR2(200); v_emsg VARCHAR2(300); v_sync VARCHAR2(1); v_sql_type VARCHAR2(15); v_insert VARCHAR2(400); v_update VARCHAR2(300); v_dblink VARCHAR2(10); BEGIN IF INSERTING THEN insert into CUSTOMERS_TEST3@dblink values(:new.TERMSANDCONDITIONS, :new.WARNINGMESSAGE, :new.MISCXML, :new.CUSTOMERIMAGE); dbms_output.put_line(' On Insert'); ELSIF UPDATING THEN update CUSTOMERS_TEST3@dblink set TERMSANDCONDITIONS = :new.TERMSANDCONDITIONS , WARNINGMESSAGE = :new.WARNINGMESSAGE, MISCXML = :new.MISCXML, CUSTOMERIMAGE = :new.CUSTOMERIMAGE; dbms_output.put_line(' On Update'); END IF; EXCEPTION WHEN OTHERS THEN v_emsg := 'AUTHCUSTOMERS Table : '||SUBSTR(SQLERRM,1,100); v_sync := 'N'; INSERT INTO ACCESSCONTROL VALUES ('CUSTOMERS', v_insert, sysdate, v_emsg, v_sync, v_sql_type); END;

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

The error meesage seams pretty self explanitory.

“or user-defined type columns.”

You will probably need to change the data types to system data types.
