Inotes can't send mail out to internet mail address.


iNotes

Domino server 6.5.5FP1.

When using inotes to send a mail out to internet address like xxxx.xxxx@domain name, it will be fail with error "SMTP Protocol Returned a Permanent Error 501 Badly formatted mail from <firstname.lastname/OU/APAC/OU%OU@Domain name>".
But when we send mail to users listed in name.nsf, it is ok. what's the problem.
