<description>Sorry Paul, I believed you wanted to use a pdf file for sending by mail or another issue. We still have 5798af3 (yes, in v5r4m0 still working) for mixing overlays with data for printing in an AFP printer. Infoprint Server generates a pdf FILE, I suposse not for printing. I think it is unusefull for what you want.

		<description>Hi,

Some more info that may help.

I installed this guys routine that prints pdfs from the IFS and it works a dream so noticed he converts the type to USERASCII.

So i can confirm the printer will print user USERASCII. I need to work out why the Info print version which is USERASCII will not print.

		<description>Hi,

The reason i cannot print from the original printer file is that the AFPRSC command only brings in the images once you convert to PDF.

I was hopeing the respool back to AFPDS would retain the images but they are missing.

Thanks for the input though

<description>I could be wrong on this but :
Why not just print the original spoolfile on an i series printer? It already has what you need on it or you would not be converting it to a PDF.

I ?think? printing the *.pdf will only print correctly if it is sent from/to a PC compatible.
Most INFOPRINTs will work from either enviornment. We have many that serve a i series printers and etwork printers. IF I drag a PDF to my desktop I can print it on any network printer but not on the AS400(whoops) devices. I have been able to release and print it on any 400 printer or remote outq.
I would love it if some one can tell us how to print PDFs fromIi series.

Just thinking out loud( well with keyboard clicking away).

<description>Thanks for the replies. I am still havings issues. I am printing to an IBM INFOPRINT 1140 and we are currently printing AFPDS files to the printer in our current system sucessfully . I am trying to use the AFRSC command to pick up dynamic imaging and it works great when I email myself the pDF.

My question I send the converted PDF (*USRASCII) to the printer with no luck and I did change the HPT to *NO.

IF I respool to AFS I now loose the resources the overlays and my images.

Any ideas and thanks??</description>
