How do I extract payroll information from Infinium

Answer Wiki

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

There are a number of tools to extract data? What application are you working with? HR/Payroll, GL, PL, etc?
Infinium HR comes with its own Query 2000 tool, although it can be rather cumbersome. Else there is AS 400 query, if you have access – but its fast and straight forward. Does your company have Cognos, ShowCase or any other application / tool?
If you are not familiar with the files/fields to access, each application’s documentation comes with a file/field directory (i.e. with HR/Payroll HCM, it is HCM_12.pdf in their Navigator documentation.
Our company specializes with the Infinium applications and I can walk you through some areas to give you a head start.

Haven't touched Infinium for a few years, but from what I remember, it had reports for some data and you could certainly add your own custom programs. Of course, if your level of access does not allow you to use those options, you probably should be talking to your security admin, or admin for the Infinium software. regards Mike

I think that is a loaded question. Obvioulsy, the data must be secured for unauthorized use. I'm sure there is file or even field level security on library HRDBFA to prevent unauthorized users from seeing confidental data. I agree with MCI, you need to talk to your IT and/or Payroll department first.
