I don't have a 10g installation at hand right now, but in the Layout Section, there should be an 'Edit Margin' button, which should be what you are looking for.

BTW, if you are using 10g, why did you name your question '...in oracle report <b>6i</b>" ?

I am using report builder version 10g and i am just right clicking the paperlayout's head, body and trailer sections and alter the report width property to modify the printable area.

The problem is if i alter the report width automatically the page size - the width propery is getting altered.

Any suggestions??
