I've been able to find lots of entries on the IBM site for Incoming Remote command and SE, ME, NT and 2000 but there is something different with XP that prevents it from working. Has anyone been able to make the incoming remote command work to an PC running XP?

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

Is the XP firewall running? If so, turn it off to verify that’s the problem. Then you’ll probably want to turn it back on but add an exception for Remote Command.

Cheers,
Kevin

The following link is to an IBM document that explains what exceptions need to be added for Clien Access objects for XP firewalls that remain active. http://www-912.ibm.com/s_dir/slkbase.NSF/515a7ef1f8deef8c8625680b00020380/eb38cf0112b242d986256ee70057f551?OpenDocument

To answer the question, yes, I got it to work with WinXP. The question might be better if it showed the configuration and included a description of the attempted procedure that fails. Since it's likely that most sites have success, it doesn't seem useful simply to ask for a yes/no response. If most sites that used the facility couldn't get it to work, there would be far more complaints than what we see. Tom
