Hi, I am working on a project using Dotnetnuke 4.09 and I would like to import a phpBB forum into a Dotnetnuke Forum. I have tried using a third party module, 'ImportphpBBForum' but have had no luck as this raises errors of methods not being found. If there is anyone that could help , I would truly appreciate?

Dotnetnuke 4.09; IIS; ASP; HTML; CSS; Web Development

The only solution I would suggest is int 2 steps : 1- Use a My SQL to MS SQL Database converter tool, there are a few out there (NOT for Free but trail might do the job), search google for "convert MySQL databases to MS SQL" and you will find these tools within results. You will end up with a MS SQL 2000 version of the phpbb My SQL database. 2- Now you need to write a batch SQL query script in ASP.net that will read values from phpbb converted Database and map them to Dotnetnuke corresponding database tables. First you need to create a conversion XML schema to define tables conversion rules between the 2 Databases. A nested SQL query might also do the job if you setup the 2 databases on server with required permissions. Hope this helps

No direct import yet, but you could extend the current class it has a function for each supported forum, phpbb, vbulletin, etc. t's a matter of mapping fields from DNN to Vanilla. Other option is to convert to phpbb or vbulletin and then to Vanilla. Consider using porter plus
