 implementing wireless lan
hi!I was planning to implement wireless lan in my hostel which has ethernet ports.At peak 100 users are using the network,so what type of router should i be looking for?

Check this: <a href="http://www.smoothwall.org/">http://www.smoothwall.org/</a> It is a piece of open source software that allows you to use an older PC as a Router/Firewall. You can create "zones" that will allow you more control over access. It's also FREE! (Though you should donate if you find it helpful. The community of smoothwall is VERY supportive, and this package seems to be a good match for your situation.

Depending on price, you may want to consider using multiple routers. Each router plugs into the network, mounted on each floor for example. Keep in mind, routers can only handle a set number of simultaneous users and you’ll have to check that feature on the manufacturers website. I would go with Linksys or Netgear.
