Hello guys, Need advice on my new project of creating a wirelees network all over a 3 storey building with approx 2100 sqm floor area. Wall are really thick concrete so I need to place several access points. Please advice me on the following: 1. What is the best brand of access points to use for the mesh of APs, please take note that we have budget constraints. I'm looking for a good quality, good management, but reasonble price. 2. Any advice on authentication/ encryption since we are using windows 2003 active directory in our existing LAN (wired)? 3. What I want to do is for a single SSID only so that users need not switch AP when going from one location to another using their laptops or other Mobile devices. 4. Other matters to consider... I would probably go with <a href="http://www.arubanetworks.com/pdf/products/DS_A3000.pdf">Aruba Networks</a> if price is a concern. Quality products as compared to Cisco's expensive line. I would use at least 4 APs per floor with AP in each corner of the floor to maximize floor area. Authentication, you can use a combination of certificate as well as NTLM integration with your AD Infrastructure. The NTLM would provide you the single sign-on capabilities with certificates provides an additional security layer.

Hi, Access point placement should be done after study of the floor plan. considering the area, wall location etc.
