Impact on TSM backups after an upgrade to SQL Server 2005
What would the impact be on TSM backups if I undertook a side by side upgrade of SQL Server 2000 SP4 to SQL Server 2005 SP2?

You would need to begin backing up the databases to the new server.
If you keep the old server around for a while you will end up backing up both servers for a period of time.
Eventually you will need to tell TSM to delete the last backup from the old server as there will never be a new backup to override it.
