Q:
Impact on Exchange 2007 SP1 when you run ForestPrep and Domain Prep to install additional Windows 2008 DC

I work for an organization ,where active directory is windows 2003 with windows 2003 forest functional level and windows 2003 domain functional level . I have exchange 2007 sp1 running on windows 2003 R2 Enterprise edition with SP2.
I'm in the process of introducing 2008 domain controller to windows 2003 domain as TRANSITION Method.I have read that I need to run forestprep and domain prep on the windows 2003 schema master and infrustructure master respectively.I would like to know what impact this will have on exchange servers since I'm doing a forestprep and domain prep.Eventually after installing more 2008 DC and transferring FSMO roles from windows 2003 dc's to Windows 2008 DC's I will raise the forest and domain functional level to 2008.What impact will this have on exchange servers??? and at this moment we have no plan to migrate exchange boxes from windows 2003 to windows 2008.
Please advice the steps I need to take if there are any before and after I run forest and domain prep

You are not going to have any trouble with your exchange servers when you run the forestprep/domainprep for 2008. We are running in just this same environment now. We have run the preps for 2008 and our exchange server is 2007 sp1. Rest easy on this one.
