I'm currently running Mac OS X and I currently have a system firewall and stealth mode enabled. When I opened up my system console, I discovered a ton of blocked connection attempts from different places that I'm not familiar with. I've actually checked the locations are some are located in China and India. Luckily these are getting blocked but is this something I should be worried about? Here are a few of the blocked attempts:
10/7/13 12:29:47.319 PM Firewall: Stealth Mode connection attempt to TCP 192.168.1.102:49710 from 84.40.104.29:16960

10/7/13 12:29:48.078 PM Firewall: Stealth Mode connection attempt to TCP 192.168.1.102:49706 from 142.151.157.96:14082

Pretty standard. As long as your firewall locks the attempts, things are working as they should. That's a big reason for having a firewall. -- Tom
