Link clicking error in IE 8
I am using Window 7 32 and IE8 and when on various (any) web sites that have links the links do not work. Turned off virus software to eliminate possibility that it was causing the problem, but it made no difference. All the main sites come up properly however when I click on a link nothing happens. If I copy the shortcut to the link and paste it the link will work. Just not working in IE8 when trying to go to links on the web site.

Software/Hardware used:
Windows 7 32 bit, Internet Explorer 8

Answer Wiki:
Do you have a pop-up blocker program installed? Sounds like these are being blocked by a pop-up blocker. Check your browser tool bar and look for a pop-up blocker. If you have multiple tool bars like yahoo, incredimail etc, you may want to uninstall them or at least disable the pop-up blockers.

Also suspected the popup blocker issue, however that did not resolve the problem. Even turned off (disabled) all add ons, reset IE8 to defauts, No difference. I have seen numberous similar questions about this on google but no concrete answers. Techweb also had questions for Microsoft about the issue and it appears unresolved. Wondering if somehow Kapersky Virus program has changed something in IE8 or Windows7.
