IBM T41, Laptop power management
hi i have a ibm t41 and the laptop will turn off at 40 percent ,and yet the battery monitor say i have 1 hour and 20 min. left is it the battery or programing

You should check your power saving features, it may be set to turn off your computer when you reach 40 percent. To check if it is your battery, you can try turning it back on without charging it; if it can at least boot to the bios and windows, it is a mis-configured power saving feature.
