 I would like to preconfigure and roll out XP mode on 7.
Windows 7, Windows 7 Administration, Windows XP configuration, Windows XP Mode
Can we configure the XP workstation image to already have our apps preinstalled and then roll out the image to all Windows 7 machines using GP?

Not sure how this is done with XP mode but if you used a VM player software like VMware or Virtual Box you can make a Windows Boot CD with everything streamlined into the install. Usually using a program like Nlite to craft a boot CD and tell it what you want slipped into the windows install like updates and other programs.
