Hi..I wanted to learn about the LAN aspect of the computer field. In term of certification and process of getting these certifications with the knowledge that come along with it: Where do I need to start and what certifications do I need to have in order to become a  System Admistrator..

Well first of all no certification is going to make you a systems administrator. You'll want to start out looking at the A+ and Network+. After you have those you can look at getting a help desk job. After getting a few years of experience you'll be able to start thinking about applying for a junior sys-admin position.
