I want to learn iseries mimix, can any one tell me about the lakeview basics of mimix book?

Lakeview was bought out by Vision Solutions about 2 1/2 years ago. Go to

and download the manual their.

Furthermore, best way is to install and test it on two test machines (or two different LPARs) in case you dont have luxury of different machines. Install MIMIX, create DGs, change the objects, adding record in PFs, and then see how changes occur between the two (i.e. production and backup machine) using the default MIMIX settings. Then create your own rules and see what impact it creates. You can learn the basics from manuals but if you practice it on machine, the live envronment will be much more beneficial in learning.
