"Pop3 is stopping me from being able to send emails" Why do you say that ? "It shows up as subject: motorcycle sales; Account: pop3" Where and when do you see this ? POP3 is a protocol. It is not a program, and it doesn't get "installed" on computers. It is implemented/used by e-mail programs, so in any case, you would need to uninstall the e-mail program that is using it.

It shows up as subject: motorcycle sales; Account: pop3. I can't tell if that means the subject is motorcycle sales; Account: pop3 or if the subject is motorcycle sales and there is an Account tagged as pop3. In any case, Carlosdl is right on. You don't exactly"remove" POP3 from your computer. You might have an account that uses POP3 to retrieve e-mails from the server, and it might make some sense to change the protocol from POP3 to IMAP or even to remove that account. In any case, the actual problem isn't known yet. The OS is Windows Vista. But what e-mail client is being used? Where is the e-mail server? (What company or organization provides the e-mail service to you?) What actually happens that is a problem? Describe what you see when the problem appears. Tom

POP3 helps to download all messages as incld attachments on the computer during the Check New Email procedure i.e. quickly / easily download emails to ur computer. But IMAP downloads entire message only when it is opened to see from its content which say another words it can open emails directly from the server without download 1st in order to read them. Remember, there is only one inbox (i.e. mailbox) in POP3 protocols while u can create more than one mailbox on the mail server. See here for verification AND also overall concept. These r all ur information only.
