 I Series Access Problem
We are installing I Series Access on a Dell Desktop with Vista Ultimate. When we go to load the software we click on the language question and and it says I Series access being installed and immediately come up with the following message: Could not read value version from key SOFTWAREIBMClient AccessCurrentVersion. The install can not continue. We have installed the software on two Dell Laptops using Vista Ultimate with out any problems. We have disable Windows Defender and User Account Control, uninstalled the Virus protection and sign on under the Administrator. We are using V6R1 of I Series Access. IBM have been unable to help at this stage. Any suggestions would be appreciated. SEMD0419

That almost sounds like it starts but can’t read the DVD at some point. Check to see if it’s clean. Are you starting with the first of the 2 DVDs?
