I need help renaming an Exchange user
Hi, We are running SBS 2003 R2 with all updates applied and have a user who recently got married. I renamed the user in Server Management, changed her email alias, updated the x400 account string, updated POP 3 connection manager to go to the new mailbox (reflected correctly in the list), updated outlook to the new username, updated OAB.

But here's my problem, after 2 hours: In Exchange itself, it still shows the mailbox as the old username. Jane.Doe instead of jane.newdoe hence any emails she sends still originate from the jane.doe address. Any idea how I go about correcting this discrepancy in the exchange structure.

Did you change the email address in the user properties? Add the new name/address in as the primary SMTP address?
