I M GETTING A PROBLEM IN DEPLOYEMENT OF VB6.0 APPLICATION

Hi, I have made an application for LAN. which allows the clients to mark their attendence and allows administrator to calulate their salary, employer tax etc. But when i try to run(either by exe or setup) this application from those systems which donot installed the vb 6.0 gives the error "operation must required an updateable query" . I have also installed the vbruntime 6.0 and dcom 98. on the client machines. I shall be very thankful to u. Plz tell me the reason My email ID is nidhi_3e@rediffmail.com regards, Nidhi

This error usually comes from trying to update the result of a query that is built on another query and both recordsets do not have an sql timestamp field. Or, if your passing through JET, merely because a column in the potential update query came from another select query.

I would think that this would have shown up during your testing, even with exclusive rights.

Why don’t you examine all updates in the module giving the error and see if any are to multiply selected recordsets?
