 I have to merge two AS400′s
AS/400, AS/400 migration, QUSRSYS
I have to move all of the AS400 files, libraries, users, applications, etc from a 5.3 AS400 onto our corporate 5.4 box. How do I avoid conflicts with QUSRSYS, QGPL etc when I do a restore to the new box and what is the proper sequence of events for restoring (user profiles first, then authorities, etc).

What kinds of overlap exist? How much overlap? Are there duplicate userids? Authorization lists? Libraries? Directories? Was the V5R3 system kept current with PTFs? Is the V5R4 system current?

You might want to review the V5R4 Memo to Users document at the very least as if you actually needed to upgrade to V5R4. Some of what you restore might need attention before you move it.
