I have a situation that does not allow me to use the normal public folder replication process
I have a situation that does not allow me to use the normal public folder replication process. I believe the normal PF process sends each PF item through the SMTP queues of the two exchange servers, therefore stealing valuable mail delivery time from external email.
I need to move Gigs of items another way between the two servers.
Does anyone know a way to do it?

Not in any supported manner.
You could always use one of the available third party public folder to SharePoint migration solutions and just go with SharePoint instead.
