I created an application that runs as a service. The service application is attempting to execute c:proediwauditw.exe. The service is obviously not running on the same directory to execute, I can only run it if I go to the directory, why?

Hello Adhil,
this happens because the system doesn’t know where the file is located.
In order to let the OS know where the file is simply add it to the PATH environment variable.
To do so please do:
-Right click My computer,
-Select properties
-Click the Advanced tab
-Click the Environment variables button
-In the frame below select PATH and click the edit button
-Move to the end of the string and add c:\proediw

This tells the system where to search for.

Bye
