I can’t make my recorder program ‘hear’ windows XP sounds!
Dear Anyone. I've got an AMD Athlon with 1gig RAM and an M-Audio Audiophile 2496 soundcard. I downloaded NCH Wavepad so, when I create a MIDI file, the sounds it orchestrates can be recorded. Now NCH says it's a "what you hear is what you get recorded' program. I can hear the sounds fine. The software, unfortunately, cannot - the 'recordings' all come up blank. NCH gives two recording options, Line In and Windows Mixer. If you try to use Windows Mixer, it tells you you don't have it and have to add it via Printers and Other Hardware in Control panel. There ISN'T a 'printers and other hardware button'. There's a printers button and a hardware button, so what it's tryin to tell me, I know not. Anyone got any ideas? It seems a bit silly to have recording software that doesn't record!! Yours respectfully ulrichburke

I use Audacity to record CDs as well as capture web streaming audio. You might want to try it instead of what you are using now. If you want to use your current program make sure you have the latest drivers avaible here (assuming the full name of your card is a Delta DiO 2496) Good Luck! -Flame
