I can see share folder by going \\server\sharefolder but when I search the server I can’t see folder

hi all, I need to find the location on a share folder on the server. When I look for the share I can find it by using the UNC \serversharefolder but when I do a search on the server I am unable to find it - Server 2000 SP4 -- Any ideas

Open the computer management, and under Shared Folders > Shares you can see all the network shares the folder which the share was created in.

    The folder is shared using a different name than the actual folder name itself. You should be able to find the share and folder in question by following the instructions provided above by Mr. Denny.
