Q:
I am trying to prepare to migrate to Hyper-V from VMWare.
I am trying to prepare to migrate to  HyperV from VMWare.  I am currently using VM Virtual Infrastructure Client 2.0 and I am unsure of how to retrieve the VMDK files to my PC so I can then convert them to VHDs.

This question is from the Microsoft Virtualization Chat held on August 27th.

If you have VMM, you simply need to copy the VMDKs to a file share that VMM can access. You should be able to access the VMFS share to copy the files down. If you had a Vi3 client, VMM could also pull the VMDKs for you.
