Q:
I am having an issue with remote desktop access to a virtual machine in a Hyper-V failover Cluster
I am having an issue with remote desktop access to a virtual machine in a Hyper-V failover Cluster. 6 months ago I successfully setup VMs in Hyper-V with remote desktop access but it wasn't in a cluster. I have remote desktop access to both of the cluster nodes it's just the VMs within the cluster. All of the networking is functional, it's just remote desktop that's giving me issues. I checked the firwall and the remote desktop port is open.

This question is from the Microsoft Virtualization Chat held on August 27th.

That shouldn't be a problem, unless the VMs are not getting proper networking. I RDP into my clustered VMs daily. I would try to RDP between the VMs, to see if there is connectivity there of. There is nothing specific to Hyper-V that would prevent RDP into VMs on a cluster.
