HUM management
Hi,
We have implemented HUM with our SAP 4.6C. Like any other HUM we've noticed several problems/bug with the system. Please share your experiances and repairs you needed to do to fix the bugs.
The one of the biggest problem we are facing is related to SMI conversion using LQ02 from a SU/HU managed warehouse/storage location. Whenever we convert any stock from SMI/K-stock/Vendor stock to company owned stock, the material document does not have reference to the serial numbers. However if we do it using MB1B--> Outb Delivery-->PGI, it works as expected. LQ02 is the standard and easy way to convert SMI to HP owned. and should work.
Any suggestions.

In WM, serial numbers are not maintained except through the HU within WM. LQ02 being a WM initiated process would not look at serial numbers.
Whereas in MB1B using an outbound delivery, the serial number profile for the material is recognized based on your profile settings; thus, the delivery note itself would require serial numbers to be entered if so defined. Since you are using Deliveries for outbound shipments, it is safe to assume the profile is defined as such.
Check your HU to see if the serial number is defined within. If this is the case and the U is not changed in the TP, the serial number should remain as reportable.

Thanks for the reply. What you are calling is a custom solution, HU has the serial numbers assigned, the serial number history is updated, but the material document does not have a link to the serial number. That is the only piece missing. SAP makes sure everything is updated except for the material documents.
