Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

The code I enter won’t include the key piece into the text. “Action.Planned” is a field that get imported from the database which includes both a date and a time. I only wont the date to appear so I need to figure out how to write a substring when the result is being pulled from a database.

Honestly, I don't know what I'm using. I'm VERY green at HTML code. What I can tell you is this. The code is placed in a Note Pad document. That document is then placed into a Templates area within Oracle Siebel 8.1.1 which will read and interpret the HTML code in the document . For some reason I can't paste the code I've used in my Note Pad document so here is another attempt. I've replaced brackets with parenthesis this time. Hopefully it works. <font face="Arial" size="2" color="000000">(Action.Planned)<BR></font> The "Action.Planned" refers to a field within the Siebel application which displays both date and time. For the template I'm creating it is preferred that only the date appears. I've seen other code (XMLP) be able to do this type of thing and was wondering if I could do something similar with the HTML in my Note Pad document.

Ah, I see now. I think you'd need to find another Siebel call to pull different data. Do you just want to show the current day? Or does it need to be the date defined by that call?

The code I'm displaying is only a small piece of the full code. The rest of the code is pointed Activity data within Siebel. When this template is invoked from a specific Activity the template will be populated with data from that specific Activity. I need the date from this Activity. Unfortunately, the field in Siebel is both date and time.
