HP5si printer error — cycling from PND to RDY

Q:
HP5si printer error -- cycling from PND to RDY
My setup of an HP5si printer continues to fail - actually goes to a PND status, then the writer ends and the file staus changes to RDY. The device description is below.

I have tried many setting changes but to no avail. The printer works great from Windows and I can ping it and it 'looks' like it is printing - but it only cycles from PND to RDY.

Any words of wisdom would be appreciated. Thanks.

Ensure you can ping that address from your AS/400 and change *HP5 to *HP5SI. If it fails do a DSPJOB Printer name and see if it logs errors. Hard to read your Device description but the Printer should work my comapny uses over a 100 Printers ser up as Lan or Remote Writers.
