I created Workstation Customization Table (WSCST) to resolve this issue. You can find information on doing this at the following web page:
<a href="http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=0&q1=default+drawer+wscst&uid=nas1bbf048cc51f9d5b8c1256acd00555574&loc=en_US&cs=utf-8&cc=us〈=en">Drawer Redirection for HP PCL5 Compatible Printers</a>
You basically will be retrieving a text source to that you will modify to use the correct drawer when the spool file is being sent to the printer. You will associate this new WSCST with the printer being used. If the spool file has drawer 1 selected, your WSCST will direct it to the appropriate drawer on the printer.
Read all the details before you start and you will have a better understanding. If you have more than one printer that needs use this same WSCST you will just need to add the WSCST to each printer.
You should also get the latest PTF’s for WSCST objects before you start. See this web page for V5R2, V5R3, and V5R4 releases.

Good Luck.
