You may have to setup the screen to narrow margins (set them to zero and the will bump out to their minimum width), set the drawing to Fit to page, and you may have to change Page Setup to Portrait. In HP printers, the will often allow paper to be loaded either lengthwise or width wise. There is a thumb wheel that changes how the printer sees the paper that MUST be adjusted to the same setting as the paper. Sometimes it's a lever. Check that as well. (8.5x11 versus 8.5x11R [for Rotated]).
