    I don't have a K80, but info at HP shows the K80 supports either Centronics parallel or USB. The docs that I see don't say if both are always available or that the I/O interface is an optional choice. If it has a USB port, then I'd expect it to work. Does it have a USB port? -- Tom

    Tom, Thank you for your quick input. Yes I think your answer would have helped greatly a few months ago when I was first having the problem and solved it with going with the parallel connections. BUT I had my son had just goven me an updated Dell Dsktop and I had to make the adjustments. I did discover the USB port in the printer, I had a cable laying around and I began experimenting and LO ! Reading the directions is a wonderful source of information !! Thanks Again - This is my first exp with IT and I'm not sure how to formally 'approve' your input ???? Roj
