I am familiar with the HP Proliant – but all I can get from your question is that you are having problems booting the server – no display but a loud noise? What kind of noise – like a fan screeching? A stuck key making a whining noise? Did this start suddenly – like after a round of Microsoft updates, followed by a reboot? Some additional information would help…..

    I guess u are hearing the sound of the fans which are controlled by software once the server has started up . As long as the os is not started up the fans run at max speed in order to avoid overheating.
