HP Digital Senders – Replacing the Hard Drive
We have some older digital senders and the hard drives are at the end of their life. I am wondering if anyone knows if it is possible to replace the hard drives in these digital senders. Two units I am specifically looking at replacing the drives on are an HP8100c and an HP9100c. Thanks in advance, -Schmidtw

Have you seen this on the HP forum? http://forums13.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?admit=109447627+1269822736221+28353475&threadId=1266771 I used Spinrite to repair a drive on an 8100c once so knew about that but have not replaced a drive. This article talks about the Spinrite option (www.grc.com -- he has some great stuff) and suggests you can replace the drive/restore images The author also talks about the 9100c. Perhaps you can get specifics there. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Thanks, I appreciate that. I don't have a problem with the image though, it is a physical problem with the drive. -Schmidtw
