 HP LaserJet 4250 with IPDS card and AS/400
AS/400 printers, HP LaserJet 4250, Intelligent Printer Data Stream, IPDS printer
Hello, we have an HP 4250 that we installed an IPDS card. I configured a printer device on the AS400 with a type of *IPDS and the spool files just stay in a pending status. Any ideas?

Can you ping the printer from the iSeries? When you set up the printer, did you configure it using a device description or a remote outq? Also, check port number on device description if that is how you set it up. That bit me once when we got a new printer made by same company and I thought all I needed to do was hook the new one up and go. (BigMac46)
