I am a third year IT engineering students,my aggregate percentage is not good,there are very less possibilities for me to get a job in on campus placement ,so do you think SCJP could help me getting a job

You need to go with your interest. It is not guaranteed that if you have done some certification you will get good job

Certification will definitely help to get a job, but first make a success of you current studies, and then while you are looking for a job start pursuing SCJP. If you can finish your current studies and do SCJP at the same time – go for it. but dont over commit. Experience is very important in the IT industry. You might even want to finish your studies, get a job, study towards SCJP, then look for a better job once your certified etc. you will very quickly find out what you like and dislike and then you can start speciliazing in certian things.
