The auto-run IS controllable by Left Shift but it is all to easy to forget to press this with one hand while the other is fiddling with the usb stick or whatever.
I find it hard to believe that the action of the Shift key in this respect (only!) cannet be reversed, i.e., so that auto-run and new folder occur ONLY IF the Shift is pressed. Does anyone if this action is represented in the Registry and if so where?
Perhaps I will just make big red labels to stick on all the orifices.
