You don’t specify which version of Word you are using….but I know this has been an issue I see in Word 2010. There are two different areas – in the Home tab, and in the Page Layout tab.

Each one has a little square with a downward pointing arrow in the bottom right corner of the Paragraph group – click on that to open a dialogue box..Make sure that you put a check mark in the “Don’t add space….” box, click “Set As Default” and then click OK. You should check this in both tabs, and choose “All Documents” when the prompt comes up.

If you are already working in a document that has a line spacing issue, press Ctrl and A to select the entire document before you set the Line Spacing.

In Microsoft 2013, how do you minimze the space between a previous paragraph and the next one when pushing tab on the last page?

Version of office is required. After Office 2007, MS changed the look & feel and also several menu programs. Generally, if you highlight the paragraph, and do right click there is option to change its paragraph style.
