How to stop a Sending email by Louts Notes ? I tried with Recall option but its not work.. can any body help me up with this?

This is NRPC only so this will only work inside your Domino Domain/s.

If this has not been setup already <see discussion threads below for Help document text> then it is likely you cannot do anything other than ask them to delete it.

    For proper work of Recall, the certain conditions u have to observe.... Lotus Domino V8 or later server required. A mail file based on a Lotus Notes V8 or later mail template with which to recall the message. A copy of the mail message in the sender’s mail file. Permission given at the server to perform Message Recall Not only that, there r also Message Recall works only on mail that is routed over NRPC. This means that neither mail routed to the Internet nor internal mail routed over SMTP can be successfully recalled. Message Recall is not available with IBM Lotus Domino Web Access. Mail sent to a Lotus Domino Web Access user can be recalled if it is on a Lotus Domino V8 server and the recalling user has a Lotus Notes V8 mail template to use to initiate the recall.

    I recall message turn on? From Admin Help Server Config Use the Server Configuration document to specify the message recall settings for all users without deploying a mail policy settings document. The message recall settings apply to all mail files on the server using the Server Configuration document. Make sure you already have a Configuration Settings document for the server(s) to be configured. 1. From the IBM® Lotus® Domino® Administrator, click the Configuration tab and expand the Messaging section. 2. Click Configurations. 3. Select the Configuration Settings document for the mail server or servers you want to administer, and click Edit Configuration. 4. Click the Router/SMTP - Message Recall tab. 5. Complete these fields on the Message Recall tab: Field Action Message Recall: Choose one: Enabled -- (Default) Enables the Message Recall feature for all mail files on the servers that this Configuration Settings document applies to. Disabled -- Disables the Message Recall feature for all mail files on the servers that this Configuration Settings document applies to. Allow recall of messages with unread status: Choose one: Unread only -- (Default) Allows recall of messages with unread status only. Both read and unread -- Allows recall of messages with a status of unread or read. Do not allow recall of messages older than: Specify the time period during which a message may be recalled after the date of delivery. Enter a number and then choose weeks, days, hours, or minutes according to the unit of time you want to use. The default setting is 14 days. 6. Make other changes to the server's configuration if necessary, and then click Save and Close. Policy Complete these steps to specify message recall settings. 1. Make sure that you have Editor access to the IBM® Lotus® Domino® Directory and one of these roles: PolicyCreator role to create a settings document PolicyModifier role to modify a settings document 2. From the Domino Administrator, select the People & Groups tab, and then open the Settings view. 3. Click Add Settings, and then choose Mail. 4. On the Message Recall tab, complete these fields: Field Action User is allowed to recall sent messages: Choose one: Yes -- Displays the Recall Message option on the Menu bar displayed in the sender's mail file, from the Sent view. No -- The Recall Message option does not display in the sender's mail file, from the Sent view.. Other users are allowed to recall messages they sent to this user: Choose one: Yes -- Allows other users to recall (delete) messages they have sent to this user. No -- Prevents other users from recalling (deleting) messages they have sent to this user. Allow recall of messages with unread status: Choose one: Unread only -- Allows recall of messages with unread status only. Both read and unread -- Allows recall of messages with a status of unread or read. Do not allow recall of messages older than: Specify the time period during which a message may be recalled after the date of delivery. Enter a number and then choose weeks, days, hours, or minutes according to the unit of time you want to use. 5. Specify any other settings you need to in the mail policy settings document and then click Save and Close.
