Hi,

I have installed sunsolaris10 in VMware Server which is running on x-64 bit windows 2003 server. At the time of installation I choosed the option as No Network Interface and so that after installation no network interface is displaying when Snoop. Now i want to setup network interface so that I can setup Host and can change IP also. The 2003 server machine is under local LAN.

Would anybody helps me out what are the steps to setup network interface.

Thanks,

Dear Bon, I am running Solaris 10 x86 in a virtual machine, and the host OS is window xp, this instructions my work in your environment. my replay for you is separated in 2 parts, --------------------------------------------------- part 1 is related to Vmware configuration: 1- log in Vmware Solaris as ROOT user. 2- type the following command : # sys-unconfig { this command will restart your solaris, when system boot again Vmware will ask you to enter Network configurations} -provide the following : -host name - host IP, -default Gateway (if you have) -and there more options ,complete them. ---------------------------------------------------- part 2 is related to Vmware network configuration: 1- choose the Edit Virtual machine settings 2-click on Network adapter from the list 3-in the left side ,under Network connections choose Bridge ------------------------------------------------------ I hope this is will work , please inform me If it works. Best Regards, Musab
