 How to sell storage consolidation (enterprise storage) to execs
We're about to start consolidating our storage. I brought this because of the current storage infrastructure of our office is somewhat unmanageable let alone other issue such as security, availablity and scalability. 
Enterprise storage solution is not cheap. How do we go about choosing the right solution and eventually sell this to the execs

Answer Wiki:
The trick is to show that it'll be cheaper to consolidate. Show the power savings, man hours saved (so that you can work on other things), space savings in the data center, thin provisioning savings (increasing utilization), etc. Break it down to money, execs like talking about money.

More manageable with the greater chance of less down…. redundant DR solution etc.

Single Architechure so there is less technical skills involved in the long run.
