Dear All Hope that you all will be at the best of your health and job,,,,, I have made a report in Oracle 6i. and given the options to user so that he can show/Hide a colum on report at run time... by passing a parameter with values Show and Hide..... if the user makes a colum Hide then that column will not be displayed to that user... and if it make is show then it is shown to user.. Now please guide me that how can i retain the value of thar parametr. LIke if user hides a specified colum by selecting Hide from Parameter form. The colum will not displayed to him.. Now i want that if he make a colum hide.. so when next time he again runs that report then that colum must hidden to that... means the value of parameter must be "HIDE"... So kindly guide me that how can i do this....

There is no way to ‘save’ a value in the report between executions.

You should store the value of that paramter somewhere in the database, so you can read it the next time the user runs the report.
