I can see why you are worried about an email loop. In this case, just hide the owners internal email account and create a contact for his external email account with the same display name. Make sure everybody sends emails to his external email address by refreshing all local client GALs and deleting any archived history in the local user's Outlook of the internal email address. Setup his Outlook to send emails using the External email address.

There may be more elegant server side solutions than this.

The customer has an account with Webmail.somebodydotcom and they pull there email through the SBS with a pop connector, they have a company.local internal domain. The exchange user/ AD user properties are setup to use the (user at the webmaildotcom) name as default, under email addresses. so internally the mail is pushed from the pop-connector to the exchange store like always.

Sorry bout the links, hope this helps.

I'm a little confused with your setup now...

Do you have a hosted email service and Exchange working with the same domain email addresses.

Thanks for the quick response. However, i have wondered about this option before, but ran into a slight problem with it too, if I forward all mail to the contact, will that not cause email to get in a viscious loop, never ending, or just duplicates, im not quite sure, unless im missing something important here. His default SMTP is set to his business email address, which is where the POP email is pulled from, so if i forward all mail that is pulled in, will that not go right back out to the ISP, back to where all other mails originated from.

Thanks,
Bradley
