Hi friends
We have about 30 clients networked and working in a Workgroup. They use files shared on a Server (running Win Server 2008 ). they should access the shared files 24/7 .
Also users connect to internet as they turn on their pcs(without any additional VPN connections or something like that). They connect to an Linksys ADSL Router, either via Wi-Fi adapter or using a usual cable adapter. (File Sharing Server is using the ADSL router to connect to internet too)
Now we want to restrict access of some of users to a dedicated amount of time in month or week.(for example 14hours/week) how can we get this done ? should we create VPN connections ? If Yes what are procedures ? should we change the network type to a Domain ? if yes what are other steps ?
By the way , it's okay for us to use other roles of the File Sharing Server (described latter in this text).
any ideas and assistance is appreciated.
Software/Hardware used:
Windows Server 2008 - WIndows 7- Windows XP SP3-Linksys ADSL Router

dear flame
It’s not about restricting user internet access to some hours of a day , it’s about restricting their access in a weekly or monthly manner ( e.g : 15 hours a week or 50 hours a month), and let them use all of their credit in a day !
I think this will be possible by establishing VPN connections and using RADIUS server , but how should I use the RADIUS server in Windows server 2008 ? ( this is the question)
so many thanks for your attention
